Dutch experimentalist Vile Dissonance continues his journey to push the boundaries of metal and jazz with extreme low tuned guitars, dissonant jazz fusion solos, heavy distorted bass, drum fusion gymnastics and cinematic interludes. Where the previous album "Jazz" focused on the dogmatic views on music of society, 闇黒 is a deep dive into the fascination of humankind with darkness. By injecting samples of the darkest movies ever made and the most experimental free form fusion solos in the history of metal, Vile Dissonance creates a journey with 闇黒 that is not easily digested but opens the mind of listener to new forms of music and thought.

"On this album, I wanted to focus on why humankind has so much art related to dark subjects. With art influences from the famous Kubrick movie "A Clockwork Orange", lyrics by Leonard Cohen to Japanese literature, it lays the foundation for the experimental music to open the listener's mind for an next level of confusion. By channeling the soul of Allan Holdsworth and Fredrik Thordendal but way more in a freeform style more a kind of Miles Davis and Marc Ribot, combined with low tuned bands like Bongripper, Korn and Vildhjarta it creates something i never heard in metal or fusion and i always searched for".
